Game description:
Eques Arcanum is a horror puzzle game based on the Unreal Engine 5. Players will have to explore maze levels in a variety of styles to find four crystal balls and use them to seal the demons. The core objective of the game is to create a highly immersive horror escape experience through sound effects, environment shaping and dynamic chase mechanics. As the player collects more crystal balls, the speed of the demon's actions will gradually increase, intensifying the sense of tension and allowing the player to experience layers of psychological oppression and the thrill of extreme escape.
Main Contributions:
Level Design and Environment Art 🎮: Designed some of the maze levels and developed the environment art style to create a highly immersive horror atmosphere.
Core Mechanics Development 🛠️: Using Blueprints to implement interactive environment mechanics to enhance dynamic feedback and player interaction.
Optimization of horror atmosphere 👁️🗨️: Based on user research, we adjusted the light and shadow, sound effects, and chase rhythm, so that players' satisfaction with the horror experience reached 90%, greatly enhancing the sense of immersion in the game.
